To
the members of our community,
Within this year
you've seen us grow from a couple plots in a lot off of Harlem Avenue to a robust, active garden that supplies growing space for
the community and fresh produce for the needy. As a supporter of the garden you
have made this possible by picking up a shovel with us, planting a plot for
yourself or the food pantry, or simply standing behind us as we expanded beyond
our wildest dreams.
2011 was a huge year
of growth and we plan for 2012 to be a year of refinement and improvement of
our existing garden and programs. We have heard from you on what kind of garden
and educational opportunities you want, and we are working on ways to deliver
the garden you want. Regular upkeep such as soil top-offs, water bills and
cost to host programs along with organizing volunteers and management of the
garden space to optimize the experience of all takes precious resources.
Like with all our
endeavors, we could not do it without you. Stake your claim in the success and
continuation of the garden by making a tax-deductible donation today.
Thank you for your
consideration. We wish you a healthy, happy holiday season.
Sincerely,
Jessica Rinks,
